The tape is grey and slightly crumpled and painted with real attention, which is funnier than painting it neatly. The whole thing is done in oil, by hand, by a person who can actually draw — which is the joke inside the joke.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt costs a great deal less than the original and, we would argue, is better. It is also considerably harder to eat.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is \u003cstrong\u003efunny wall art\u003c\/strong\u003e for someone who follows the art world closely enough to be tired of it, and it does well in an office, a studio, or anywhere a visitor will stop and work out what they are looking at. The duct-taped banana was a genuine news story, not an art-world in-joke, and the Texas shape does the rest of the work.
