He has a red bandana, a harlequin saddle blanket, and a trick-or-treat bag with a smiling pumpkin on it, and he is leaving a trail of pink candy behind him in the grass. Whether that is generosity or a hole in the bag, the painting does not say.

Caya Crum painted it in gouache in the fall of 2026, and it is the gentlest kind of Halloween painting: no gore, no fright, just a headless-horseman cousin who turned out friendly and went into the candy business. It reads like vintage Halloween art, the paper-decoration kind people collect, with the western slant that runs through everything Caya makes.

A limited edition of 50

This one is not printed to order like the rest of the shop. He makes a good entryway piece for the house that hands out full-size bars, and a good gift for the friend who starts decorating in September.
