The type is heavy black letterpress capitals, roughened at the edges, sitting over a weathered Texas flag on scraped cream. Dallas is the skyline coming up out of flat prairie with nothing in front of it to soften the arrival, which is the whole point. It is Central Expressway at 5:40, heat still coming up off the concrete at nine at night in August, a Fletcher's corny dog eaten walking under Big Tex, and White Rock on a Saturday with half the city going the other direction around it. The flag colors are faded and dusty here, not glossy. Dallas can do polished on its own time; this print does not.

Why is nothing on this print glossy?
Because Dallas can do polished on its own time. The flag colors here are faded and dusty and the black capitals are roughened at the edges.
Which wall does Dallas want?
Over a bar, in an office, or in a stairwell. It reads from a distance, which suits a city whose skyline comes up out of flat prairie with nothing in front of it.
Does it work as a closing gift?
It is one of the easier ones, along with housewarmings. It also travels well to anyone who moved off and still watches the Cowboys out of obligation.

How do I make a gallery wall with art prints?
Start with an anchor piece and build outward — many Crum Art prints are part of series designed to group together as a statement gallery wall, or hang individually as standalone pieces. Since every image is sized to fit standard frames, mixing sizes is easy: lay the arrangement out on the floor first, keep about two to three inches between frames, and center the whole grouping at eye level.
