Texas Home Decor That Hollers Back | Crum Art Prints & Originals

Texas Home Decor at CrumArt — Where Texas Blooms on Paper

At CrumArt, we believe Texas isn’t just a place — it’s a way of seeing. It’s the way a spring sky stretches over the Hill Country.

Texas home decor is more than aesthetic — it’s identity. It turns stories, signs, and skies into art you can live with.

The curve of a backroad in Big Bend. A neon motel sign in Marfa. A porch in Fort Worth. Our work takes those quiet, iconic, gritty, and beautiful moments — and turns them into bold, meaningful art for your walls. If you’re looking for Texas home decor that speaks with a little twang and a whole lot of heart, you’re in the right place.

Texas home decor from CrumArt isn’t mass-produced — it’s meaningful, memorable, and rooted in the real stories of the Lone Star State.

A Family of Artists & Originals

CrumArt began in the early 1990s with a sketchbook, a camera, and a whole lot of love for backroads and bluebonnets.

Carl Crum

Carl was the first to put Texas on paper — literally — when he began photographing  Austin Texas signs and landmarks while still in highschool.  He first created the iconic Austin Texas photomontage and then went on to create photomontages for Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, and more!

His photomontages helped redefine what Texas home decor could be — blending documentary with nostalgia.

He captured the neon glow of roadside signs, the architecture of forgotten buildings, and the wild, offbeat charm of Texas cities. From there, CrumArt grew into a full-blown studio.

Today, Crum Art creates western art paintings, photomontages, bluebonnet prints, cloud paintings, and quirky Americana — all with an unmistakable Lone Star perspective. From old west prints to a hand-drawn lone star beer can, every piece has a story, and every story starts in Texas.

Betsy Crum: Storyteller of the State

Born in a small East Texas town in 1976, Betsy Crum has spent her life turning Texas into art. Her origin story feels like a country song: “Kenny Rogers’ mother gave me my first bath,” she laughs. “I’ll be damned if that didn’t shape my fascination with Texas pop culture forever.”

Her mother, artist Suzanne Steed, was known for piling her three kids into a 1972 Buick Electra and driving across East Texas dirt roads with her camera and gear in the trunk. The scent of fried chicken and photo developer filled their house, and so did stories — family ones, neighbor ones, tall ones, and true ones. That early mix of grit, wit, and wide-eyed wonder shaped Betsy's creative voice.

Her bold, dreamy pieces are now must-haves for anyone curating a thoughtful Texas home decor collection.  Today, Betsy's bluebonnet art, Texas sky work, and cloud paintings are collected by people all over the country. Each piece reflects both reverence and rebellion — art that honors Texas.

Caya Crum: This Isn't Her First Rodeo — and She Owns It

Caya Crum

Caya didn’t just inherit the family business — she added fire to it. “This actually is my first rodeo,” she says, “but I’m already painting the bulls.” Born and raised in Fort Worth, Caya brings a vibrant, unfiltered energy to CrumArt.

Known for her smoking cowgirl prints, vibrant mural commissions, and edgy compositions, Caya's work bridges generations. It’s part state of Texas home decor, part punk rock postcard. A student at TCU, she works across media — from watercolor and acrylic to latex and film photography.

Her work lives at the intersection of storytelling and statement — a Gen Z stamp on Texas home decor.

“Creating gives me a safe space to express myself visually. It makes me happy knowing I can create a piece that resonates so deeply with someone.” – Caya Crum

CrumArt: Texas Home Decor That’s Made in Texas. Signed with Pride.

At CrumArt, we don’t do stock art. We don’t do trends. We create art that makes people say, “I’ve been there.” Or, “I feel that.” Or even, “Damn, that’s good.”

At CrumArt, Texas home decor means soul. Our work makes people pause, laugh, and remember.

Whether it’s a classic bluebonnet art print with a soft pink sky, a sarcastic “I’ll be damned” piece that riffs on family sayings, or a dreamy cloud painting made from a snapshot of a Texas evening, everything is printed on 100% cotton rag paper using archival pigment and  inks. Each piece is hand-signed and created with care.
