Horse & Clouds — a Horse Painting by Caya Crum

A dark bay horse stands in profile against clouds going pink, violet, and orange. Caya paints him enormous — head and neck filling most of the frame, one eye showing, aimed at something past the edge of the painting. Behind him the clouds are doing the entire sunset at once, stacked up and lit from underneath, and the horse is not paying them the slightest attention.
