A pink unicorn rears on a black ground scattered with red, orange, blue and white wildflowers, outlined in hot pink against a flat blue sky. It is Caya's homage to the medieval unicorn tapestries — the Lady and the Unicorn cycle at the Musée de Cluny in Paris, which she visited in 2018 and never quite got over. The millefleur flower field, the flattened space and the unicorn's twisting pose all come from those tapestries; the color and the attitude are hers.

For art history lovers and unicorn tapestry lovers, for anyone raised on The Last Unicorn, and for anyone who likes their fantasy whimsical and a little bit punk. A gorgeous piece.
