Carl Crum | Texas Photomontage Art, Signs & Landmarks | Crum Art

Carl Crum

Carl Crum’s work began in Austin in the late 1980s, when he became captivated by the city’s signs, landmarks, and visual character. As a high school student, he created the first of many Austin photomontages—layered, detail-rich compositions that capture a place the way memory does: saturated, symbolic, and instantly recognizable.

Over time, the concept expanded to other Texas cities (Fort Worth, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio) and statewide editions. His Emmy-winning career reflects the same signature strengths found in his art: a sharp eye, technical fluency, and an instinct for what makes an image feel alive.

These works are both Texas artifacts and modern wall statements—made for collectors who want place, history, and identity on the wall.

About Crum Art Prints

A Crum Art print is designed as both artwork and artifact—something that carries the emotional charge of memory while standing up as a crafted object of its own. Each piece is printed to museum standards with archival inks on heavyweight cotton rag paper for lasting color and clarity.

Every print is hand-signed by the artist, making each one a personal, collectible work rather than a mass-produced poster.
