Twin 10-2-4 Bottles — Coquette Room Decor by Betsy Crum

Two Dr Pepper bottles stand shoulder to shoulder on a pale aqua ground. The twin on the left has gone soft — mint and sage glass under a red label, cool as the shady side of the porch. The twin on the right is cherry red from cap to base, with no hesitation anywhere on her. Both wear the vintage 10-2-4 clock label, which means both are keeping an eye on the time and neither is the least bit worried about it.

It's the coquette treatment applied to Texas's favorite soda: flat pop color, matching silhouettes, two entirely different personalities. Anyone with a sister will recognize the arrangement immediately.

Where They'll Work in Your House

Pale aqua does quiet work in a loud room. The twins hold the wall over a bar cart, sweeten a run of pink wall art above a vanity, or hold down the soft end of a gallery wall. In a dorm or a first apartment they carry a whole coquette wall on one nail. If two bottles feel like plenty, their solo sister — the 10-2-4 Bottle print — hangs alone with the same good posture; if two feels like a start, Pop of Yellow makes three.

Betsy Crum painted both twins herself, one flirty matched pair from one Texas family, printed to order whenever your appointed hour strikes. The rest of Betsy's shelf is here.

The label promises a Dr Pepper at 10, 2, and 4 — three appointed hours and only two bottles, so you'll have to supply the third yourself. For a fuller lineup there's the Dr Pepper grid print, and the twins make a sly Texas gift for the person with firm opinions about which soda is correct.

Product FAQ

What does the 10-2-4 clock label on these Dr Pepper bottles mean?

It's the old Dr Pepper advertising promise: a bottle at 10, 2, and 4 o'clock to carry you past the day's slumps. The little clock label wore the schedule right on the glass, and these twins are still keeping those hours.

Why are the Twin 10-2-4 Bottles painted in two different tints?

Same bottle, two moods. The mint twin is the composed one; the cherry-red twin ordered dessert first. Betsy painted them as a matched pair for anyone who has felt both ways before noon.

Kitchen shelf or dorm wall — where do the twins do their best work?

Both, happily. The pale aqua background behaves itself near kitchen shelves and open cabinets, and in a dorm it does the work of a whole coquette wall with one nail. Vanities and reading corners count too.

How does the Coquette Twin print fit with Crum Art's other Dr Pepper art?

It's the flirty one of the family. Crum Art keeps a whole Dr Pepper art collection — grids, stacked cans, one neon raccoon — and the twins are the pair you pick when the occasion calls for charm.

Will this look like an original painting or a print?

Crum Art takes the scanning and photographing of original paintings seriously — we work to capture the texture of the canvas or paper the original was created on, so that texture shows through in the print. Combined with the cotton rag paper’s own subtle surface and the hand-signing, many customers say they cannot tell if it’s an original or a print. That’s intentional. These are not flat digital reproductions — they are fine art prints that carry the soul of the original.

What sizes does this print come in?

Our fine art prints are available in standard rectangle and square sizes. Rectangles: 8x10 unframed matted to 11x14, 11x14 unframed, 16x20, 18x24, and 24x36. Squares: 8x8 unframed matted to 12x12, 12x12 unframed, 16x16, 20x20, and 24x24. Each size ships ready to frame, making it easy to find the right fit for your wall.

How do I make a gallery wall with art prints?

Start with an anchor piece and build outward — many Crum Art prints are part of series designed to group together as a statement gallery wall, or hang individually as standalone pieces. Since every image is sized to fit standard frames, mixing sizes is easy: lay the arrangement out on the floor first, keep about two to three inches between frames, and center the whole grouping at eye level.
