Leddy Boot Warhol — Pop Art Print by Betsy Crum

One neon cowboy boot, painted nine times in a three-by-three grid — pink, aqua, yellow, green, tan, and black, each panel with its own temperature. The boot is the famous LEDDY BOOTS sign that glows over a legendary bootmaker in the Fort Worth Stockyards, the kind of landmark people give directions by. Betsy gave it the full Warhol treatment: same boot, new mood every panel, until a piece of Cowtown signage starts behaving like a soup can. Which was always the point of pop art — take the thing everybody walks past and make them look at it nine times.

Up close it's confident line and flat, happy color. From across the room it reads as one tall hum of boots. Either way, it's the most Fort Worth thing you can do to a wall without hanging actual neon.

Where It'll Work in Your House

This one wants a spot with some attitude — an entry, a bar wall, the office that's tired of diplomas. It anchors a gallery wall without hogging it, sits naturally with the rest of our Fort Worth art, and brings the color to a cowboy boot art grouping. If somebody in your life loves the Stockyards, file it under Texas gifts and take the credit.

Betsy Crum, running a one-woman Factory out of Texas — the rest of Betsy's catalog is here — original family artwork, printed to order.

One boot, nine moods — the Stockyards gone pop. If you'd rather take your Leddy boot solo, there's the Leddy Boot Neon print, or commit to one mood with the Leddy Boots Pink print — then let the rest of the western art collection fill out the wall.

Product FAQ

What is the Leddy boot sign?

It's the neon cowboy boot that marks a legendary bootmaker in the Fort Worth Stockyards — a sign so recognizable that locals give directions by it. In this print it glows nine times over.

Why paint the same boot nine times?

That's the Warhol move: repeat an icon until it stops being a sign and starts being a rhythm. Nine colorways give one boot nine personalities, and the grid lets them argue politely.

Which colorway should I decorate around?

You don't have to choose — pink, aqua, yellow, green, tan, and black are all in there, so the print gets along with nearly any room. It's the rare piece that behaves like a neutral while being anything but.

Who is the Leddy Boot Warhol print a good gift for?

Fort Worth people, boot people, and pop-art people — ideally all three in one person. It says you know exactly what they love about Cowtown, without a single longhorn.

Will this look like an original painting or a print?

Crum Art takes the scanning and photographing of original paintings seriously — we work to capture the texture of the canvas or paper the original was created on, so that texture shows through in the print. Combined with the cotton rag paper’s own subtle surface and the hand-signing, many customers say they cannot tell if it’s an original or a print. That’s intentional. These are not flat digital reproductions — they are fine art prints that carry the soul of the original.

What sizes does this print come in?

Our fine art prints are available in standard rectangle and square sizes. Rectangles: 8x10 unframed matted to 11x14, 11x14 unframed, 16x20, 18x24, and 24x36. Squares: 8x8 unframed matted to 12x12, 12x12 unframed, 16x16, 20x20, and 24x24. Each size ships ready to frame, making it easy to find the right fit for your wall.

How do I make a gallery wall with art prints?

Start with an anchor piece and build outward — many Crum Art prints are part of series designed to group together as a statement gallery wall, or hang individually as standalone pieces. Since every image is sized to fit standard frames, mixing sizes is easy: lay the arrangement out on the floor first, keep about two to three inches between frames, and center the whole grouping at eye level.
