Bull Shadow Puppet Minimalist Wall Art by Caya Crum

A silhouette is an honest test. There is nowhere to hide detail and nothing to fix afterward: either the shape reads as a bull inside the first second or it does not. This one does, and the restraint is exactly what gives it range. It hangs in a nursery, a ranch house, and a minimalist apartment — three rooms that agree on almost nothing else. It also joins her dog shadow puppet and the horse from the same series, and the three make a matched set without anybody having to arrange it.

As western wall art it works in rooms that want nothing else western in them, and it is the quiet counterweight to louder cow art like the Warhol Cow print. It behaves beautifully on a gallery wall, and there is more of the quiet work in Caya Crum's collection.

Original family artwork by Caya Crum, printed to order.

Product FAQ

What is the Bull Shadow Puppet print?

The flashlight game grown up — Caya Crum paints two hands throwing a bull's silhouette on the wall. Cow art that does not take itself seriously.

Is the Bull Shadow Puppet part of a set?

Yes — it pairs with the Horse Shadow Puppet for a matched western duo, and the two hang naturally side by side or stacked in a narrow spot.

Where does the Bull Shadow Puppet print hang?

Kids' rooms, game room wall art, or hallway art where the joke gets foot traffic. On a western gallery wall it is the piece that keeps the rest from getting too solemn.

Who is the Bull Shadow Puppet print a good gift for?

Kids and new parents, Longhorn households, and anyone whose western taste runs playful. A good pair-gift with the horse. Art by Caya Crum.

Will this look like an original painting or a print?

Crum Art takes the scanning and photographing of original paintings seriously — we work to capture the texture of the canvas or paper the original was created on, so that texture shows through in the print. Combined with the cotton rag paper’s own subtle surface and the hand-signing, many customers say they cannot tell if it’s an original or a print. That’s intentional. These are not flat digital reproductions — they are fine art prints that carry the soul of the original.

What sizes does this print come in?

Our fine art prints are available in standard rectangle and square sizes. Rectangles: 8x10 unframed matted to 11x14, 11x14 unframed, 16x20, 18x24, and 24x36. Squares: 8x8 unframed matted to 12x12, 12x12 unframed, 16x16, 20x20, and 24x24. Each size ships ready to frame, making it easy to find the right fit for your wall.

How do I make a gallery wall with art prints?

Start with an anchor piece and build outward — many Crum Art prints are part of series designed to group together as a statement gallery wall, or hang individually as standalone pieces. Since every image is sized to fit standard frames, mixing sizes is easy: lay the arrangement out on the floor first, keep about two to three inches between frames, and center the whole grouping at eye level.
