Painted from directly overhead, the way you would actually see it if you were the one sitting there. A white saucer with two red rings. Coffee gone dark with a little oil-slick shine on the surface. A sugar packet torn open and spilled, the grains scattered across the china and not swept up. Two spent matches, a matchbook face down, a spoon and a knife shoved to one side. All of it on a tablecloth of pink roses and yellow leaves — somebody's grandmother's cloth, holding a morning that grandmother would not approve of. A little bit 80s mee-maw and little bit 90s Euro.
That tension is the piece. Sweet floral, hard habit. It is the diner at 7am, or the kitchen table before anyone else is up, and Caya has painted it with the seriousness other people reserve for a bowl of fruit.
It belongs in a kitchen, over a coffee bar, or in the corner where the pot lives. It hangs well beside the other Caya still lifes on plates — the avocado, the croissant, and Parker County Peaches.

Product FAQ
What is the Cigarettes & Coffee print?
Caya Crum's still life of the classic pairing — coffee and a cigarette, painted in pink and treated like the small ritual it is.
Why paint cigarettes and coffee?
Because the pairing is a whole mood — French cafés, diner counters, long conversations. It's coffee wall art with an edge, and pink wall art with a story.
Where should Cigarettes & Coffee hang?
Over a coffee bar is the natural home — it's coffee bar art at heart. It also holds its own in a kitchen gallery wall or a moody powder room.
Who is Cigarettes & Coffee a good gift for?
The friend with strong opinions about espresso. A great coffee lover gift and a galentines favorite — painted by Caya Crum.
Will this look like an original painting or a print?
Crum Art takes the scanning and photographing of original paintings seriously — we work to capture the texture of the canvas or paper the original was created on, so that texture shows through in the print. Combined with the cotton rag paper’s own subtle surface and the hand-signing, many customers say they cannot tell if it’s an original or a print. That’s intentional. These are not flat digital reproductions — they are fine art prints that carry the soul of the original.
What sizes does this print come in?
Our fine art prints are available in standard rectangle and square sizes. Rectangles: 8x10 unframed matted to 11x14, 11x14 unframed, 16x20, 18x24, and 24x36. Squares: 8x8 unframed matted to 12x12, 12x12 unframed, 16x16, 20x20, and 24x24. Each size ships ready to frame, making it easy to find the right fit for your wall.
How do I make a gallery wall with art prints?
Start with an anchor piece and build outward — many Crum Art prints are part of series designed to group together as a statement gallery wall, or hang individually as standalone pieces. Since every image is sized to fit standard frames, mixing sizes is easy: lay the arrangement out on the floor first, keep about two to three inches between frames, and center the whole grouping at eye level.
