A bunch of daffodils, stems crossing, trumpets pointing every direction the way they do in a jar on the counter, painted over a ground the color of the flowers themselves. The white outlines do the work, tracing each petal so the blooms float off the background instead of sinking into it. Two orange squiggles loop across the top, part ribbon, part doodle, and they are the reason the painting feels like a good mood instead of a botanical plate.
