What is the star doing behind the letters?
It is the Texas flag star bleeding up through the heavy letterpress type, so the flag reads like it was on the wall first and the word HOUSTON got stamped over it later.
Where does this one land in a Houston house?
Over a console or a desk is the usual answer, though it does more work in a group than alone. The palette is dusty enough that it will not fight whatever is already on the wall.

How do I make a gallery wall with art prints?

Since every image is sized to fit standard frames, mixing sizes is easy: lay the arrangement out on the floor first, keep about two to three inches between frames, and center the whole grouping at eye level.
