Tabasco Bottle — Hot Sauce Kitchen Art by Betsy Crum
Betsy drew the bottle fast, the way you reach for it: loose outline, diamond label, the little neck band, the cap a solid blob of red. No label copy traced letter for letter, no product-photo stiffness. It reads as Tabasco from across the room and as a drawing from up close, which is the trick with food art. It comes two ways. The classic is red on a deep teal; the other is the same bottle in blue ink, for a kitchen that wants the joke without another red thing in it.

Why Tabasco in a Texas shop?
Because it is on every Texas table, and has been since before anyone here was born. Avery Island is a two-state drive away and nobody minds.
What is the difference between the two versions?
Classic Red is the bottle as you know it on a teal ground. Blue Ink is the same drawing run in blues with a red cap, for kitchens that already have enough red.
Is this an official Tabasco product?
No. It is a hand-drawn tribute by Betsy Crum, not affiliated with or endorsed by McIlhenny Company.
Where does the Tabasco print hang?
Over the stove, beside the fridge, in a breakfast nook, or on a bar cart wall next to the beer prints.
Will this look like an original painting or a print?
Crum Art takes the scanning and photographing of original paintings seriously — we work to capture the texture of the canvas or paper the original was created on, so that texture shows through in the print. Combined with the cotton rag paper’s own subtle surface and the hand-signing, many customers say they cannot tell if it’s an original or a print. That’s intentional. These are not flat digital reproductions — they are fine art prints that carry the soul of the original.

How do I make a gallery wall with art prints?
Start with an anchor piece and build outward — many Crum Art prints are part of series designed to group together as a statement gallery wall, or hang individually as standalone pieces. Since every image is sized to fit standard frames, mixing sizes is easy: lay the arrangement out on the floor first, keep about two to three inches between frames, and center the whole grouping at eye level.
