A bay horse has all four feet off the arena dirt and a cowgirl in a hot-pink shirt is still on him, one arm up, reins in the other, her tan hat already gone and sailing off the top of the picture. The sky is a flat Texas blue with a few quick clouds, the ground a strip of pale gold, and the whole thing is painted loose and fast, the way the moment actually goes. It is Caya's most cheerful bronc, and the only one where you can tell she is rooting for the rider.

What is the painting?
