Jimmy James Cowboy Wall Art by Caya Crum
He is older than the rest of the series and it shows — a weathered face, a cigarette going, a lifetime of stories behind it. There is a calm in him that only comes from years of doing the work, and that calm is what the painting is about.
He anchors a wall rather than decorating one, which makes him man cave art in the useful sense of the phrase: an office, a den, an entryway that could stand to be taken seriously. He sits naturally among the man cave decor and wall art for guys, and he anchors a gallery wall of the younger faces beautifully.
He hangs beside Waylon and the rest of the crew in Cowboy Art Prints, with the wider range in western art. Caya Crum, working in Texas — the rest of her work is here. Original family artwork, printed to order.

Product FAQ
Who is Jimmy James?
The oldest cowboy in the series and the only one who has quit performing. Weathered face, cigarette going, a good deal of history sitting behind the expression.
What sets him apart from the other cowboys?
Age, mostly. Waylon and the younger men are still in the middle of the story and it shows on them. Jimmy James is out the far side of it, and the painting is about that difference.
Where does he work best?
An office, a den, an entryway. He anchors a wall rather than decorating one, which is the useful version of man cave art, and he makes a solid gift for a father or a grandfather.
Who made him?
Caya Crum, drawing in Texas. Family artwork from the start, printed to order.
Will this look like an original painting or a print?
Crum Art takes the scanning and photographing of original paintings seriously — we work to capture the texture of the canvas or paper the original was created on, so that texture shows through in the print. Combined with the cotton rag paper’s own subtle surface and the hand-signing, many customers say they cannot tell if it’s an original or a print. That’s intentional. These are not flat digital reproductions — they are fine art prints that carry the soul of the original.
What sizes does this print come in?
Our fine art prints are available in standard rectangle and square sizes. Rectangles: 8x10 unframed matted to 11x14, 11x14 unframed, 16x20, 18x24, and 24x36. Squares: 8x8 unframed matted to 12x12, 12x12 unframed, 16x16, 20x20, and 24x24. Each size ships ready to frame, making it easy to find the right fit for your wall.
How do I make a gallery wall with art prints?
Start with an anchor piece and build outward — many Crum Art prints are part of series designed to group together as a statement gallery wall, or hang individually as standalone pieces. Since every image is sized to fit standard frames, mixing sizes is easy: lay the arrangement out on the floor first, keep about two to three inches between frames, and center the whole grouping at eye level.
